Residential Admissions



Every admission is important to us! Below is the initial criteria that must be met to be considered for potential residential placement.

Residential Admission Criteria

  • Have a traumatic or acquired brain injury (TBI or ABI)
  • Be medically stable and does not require a level of medical care beyond the management and training of our staff
  • Be at Level VI or higher on the Ranchos Los Amigos Scale
  • Need moderate to maximum assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) – Puddin’s Place
  • Need minimum to moderate assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) – Hart Cottage
  • Not be a danger to self or others
  • Not have severe behavioral issues
  • Not be an active drug user and willing to comply with the rules of our drug, alcohol and tobacco free home
  • Be willing to live in a communal environment without physical restraints
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be a legal U.S. citizen

Funding Options

Puddin's Place

Funding options currently accepted for Puddin’s Place include private pay, workers’ compensation, Michigan no-fault auto insurance and certain liability insurances. Costs for prescription and over-the-counter medications, medical supplies and equipment, doctor and therapy visits, and any other additional costs related to medical care are not included in each resident’s daily rate.

Hart Cottage

Funding options currently accepted for Hart Cottage include private pay, workers’ compensation, auto insurance, Medicaid Innovations Waiver, liability insurances and state funded residential supports. Costs for prescription and over-the-counter medications, medical supplies and equipment, doctor and therapy visits, and any other additional costs related to medical care are not included in each resident’s daily rate.
