My name is Wrigley, and I have been working as a Nonprofit Leadership Fellow at Hinds’ Feet Farm this summer!
I’m a senior psychology major at Davidson College and am interested in pursuing further education and a career in the neuropsychology field. For the past three years, I have been a member of the Bonner Scholars Program at Davidson and have gained experience working with various nonprofits and communities.
When I learned about Hinds’ Feet Farm, I knew that it would be a great fit for me, because it combines my interests in neuropsychology and serving others, as well as utilizes my experience working in support of nonprofits. During my internship I have gained insight into the complex work that goes into running and growing a unique organization like Hinds’ Feet Farm.
This summer, I have also had the opportunity to work directly with members and learn about their stories and goals. I love working with the day program and participating in engaging groups and outings with the members. Throughout my time at Hinds’ Feet Farm, I have gained invaluable experience and skills that I know will direct me in whatever path I take in the future. Hinds’ Feet Farm is filled with so many wonderful people with incredible life experiences and so much to give. I am so grateful for my time as an intern at the farm and I look forward to volunteering here in the future.
